1. Malevolent
This paranormal thriller is centered around a brother/sister con artist team, Jackson and Angela, who run a lucrative (and fake) "ghostbusting" business, but encounter very real spirits on their latest job.

2. Private Life
Paul Giamatti and Kathryn Hahn star in this movie as a couple who is struggling to conceive and reaching desperation as they continue to grow older and their options start to run out. Molly Shannon, John Carroll Lynch, and Denis O'Hare round out this all-star cast.

3. 22 July
Based on real events, this film depicts the deadly terror attack on a summer camp in Norway on July 22, 2011, and follows a young survivor as he attempts to cope in the aftermath.

4. Apostle
This period horror film — which features Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser's Kristine Froseth — tells the story of a man who must travel to a remote island to rescue his sister after she's held for ransom by a religious cult.

5. Errementari: The Blacksmith and the Devil
This fantasy film, set in 19th-century northern Spain, offers a retelling of an ancient fable about a blacksmith who finds himself in a vicious battle with the devil.

6. The Kindergarten Teacher
In this unsettling movie, Maggie Gyllenhaal plays a teacher who develops an obsessive and dangerous fascination with her 5-year-old student's unusual aptitude for poetry, despite the discouragement of the young boy's parents. You're definitely going to be disturbed by this one.

7. Gnome Alone
This super-cute kids flick — which features a totally bizarre and awesome cast of voices, including Josh Peck, Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump, and Demi Lovato's little sis Madison De La Garza, to name a few — is about a teenage girl who must team up with a pack of house gnomes to protect her family's new home from evil underground dwellers.

8. Illang: The Wolf Brigade
Set in 2029, this South Korean sci-fi flick imagines South and North Korea preparing for a unified government, as well as the special South Korean police unit that must keep the terrorists trying to prevent the unification at bay.

In this Indonesian action film, members of a small village are all brutally massacred after stealing from drug-trafficking Triads — except for one young girl. The assassin who saved her life must face the consequences of his sacrifice when he becomes the new target.

This London-set musical stars the hilarious Michaela Coel from Chewing Gum in a very different role, playing a single mother who encounters a handsome stranger (Arinzé Kene) during a rare night out on the town.
