Today marks the fifth anniversary of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s premiere on ABC officially expanding the MCU into the world of television while resurrecting Agent Phil Coulson after his untimely end in 2012’s The Avengers.
To commemorate the occasion, Marvel Television producer Geoffrey Colo shared a highlight reel of the entire first season showing the team taking on everything from a resurgent HYDRA to wayward Asgardians to the cybernetically-enhanced Deathlok.

“Director Fury always said a man can accomplish anything when he realizes he’s a part of something bigger. A team of people who share that conviction can change the world,” declares Coulson over the montage of clips from the inaugural season showing the team in action. “So, what do you say? You ready to change the world?”
“No, I’m ready to kick some ass,” replies Ming-Na Wen’s Melinda May.
