Agents of SHIELD Season 6 to Begin Shooting This Week
Season 6 of the inaugural MCU television series Agents of SHIELD is slated to kick off filming this week.
Series star Chloe Bennett announced this past Friday through an Instagram story on her personal account that principal photography on the ABC series begins this week. The upcoming season received a thirteen-episode renewal from the network this past May to premiere in the summer of 2019.

Despite the shortened episode order, ABC President Channing Dungey denied that the network plans to end the series after its sixth season. It is unclear if star Clark Gregg will return to the show as Phil Coulson given the character’s cliffhanger fate at the end of the Season 5 finale.
With the latest season putting the characters through time and space in a desperate bid to save the Earth from Graviton while tying into the events of Avengers: Infinity War, perhaps Agents of SHIELD‘s return next summer is scheduled to tie into next year’s untitled fourth Avengers film.
