Gotham’s Robin Lord Taylor Says At Least One Character Won’t Make It Past Episode 4
Fox’s Batman prequel series Gotham is preparing to get the ball rolling on its fifth in final season. It has been confirmed that Season 5 will feature DC villains Bane and Magpie. With that in mind, however, it appears that some of the show’s established characters are being put on notice.
As reported by Digital Fox, series star Robin Lord Taylor, who plays Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin, has confirmed during an interview that “at least one character” will not be making it past episode four (of ten). This wording is intentionally vague, but it can be inferred that at least one established cast member will be killed off before the season is even halfway through, which suggests that Gotham is very much entering its endgame.

Taylor went on to all but cement this idea, saying, “We’re launching these characters into the place where you all know them from — what you all think of when you think of these people. I’m really excited about it.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Taylor commented on the length of the upcoming season.
“We wish it had been more but the fact that we have at least 10 episodes to bring the show to a satisfying conclusion is just such a blessing,” said Taylor. “We are pulling out all of the stops. Everything is going down. We started this season at 10 and we are just going higher and higher.”
