Is Arrow’s Stephen Amell Teasing a Ruby Rose/Batwoman Costume Test?

There was truly a real sense of wonder and excitement when news first broke that DC Comics character Kate Kane, aka Batwoman would join the cast of the Arrowverse for this fall’s upcoming superhero crossover spectacular. Following that, the question everyone was asking was who would The CW cast in the role?

The answer came only last week, when the network announced that Orange Is the New Black and The Meg actress Ruby Rose would bring Kate Kane to life on the small screen in the highly-anticipated event.

Soon after, Arrow leading man Stephen Amell officially welcomed Rose to the superhero family on Twitter and, already, it looks like the wheels are in motion. On Monday night, Amell sent out a cryptic tweet that read “Watching someone try on a superhero suit for the first time never gets old.”

Of course, there is always the chance that Amell is talking about another character from his own television superhero show, but most fans already have heir own theory that Ruby Rose has already gotten to do a Batwoman costume fitting test.

Amell certainly knows what he’s doing, and with the veritable fire of excitement surrounding the casting of Rose as Batwoman, it’s a safe bet that this is exactly who he is talking about. After all, the announcement that Batwoman was coming to The CW had meen made a good while ago, meaning that the costume designers had some time to start working on the character’s suit in advance. It could be that when Rose was announced as the actress that would bring the character to life, the costume was already ready for a fitting.

A lot of people are looking forward to seeing Batwoman in full costume on the screen. Knowing that the red and black bat-suit might already exist — and that Rose has already tried it on — only makes the wait to December all the more exceuciating.
