Rebecca Romijn is Star Trek: Discovery’s Number One in First Look Photo
Number One has beamed aboard in the latest image from Season 2 of Star Trek: Discovery.
Portrayed by X-Men actor Rebecca Romijn, the first officer of the Enterprise is seen in the transporter room of a Federation starship addressing what appears to be Anson Mount’s Captain Christopher Pike in a photo released on Romijn’s Instagram account.

Originally played by Majel Barrett in the 1966 first pilot for the series, footage including the character from the unaired episode would later be used in the original series’ first season while Barrett would go on to play Nurse Christine Chapel in a recurring role throughout the series instead.
Romijn was officially announced as being cast for the role of Pike’s righthand officer by Mount during the Star Trek: Discovery panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego this past July. Judging by her classic gold command outfit, The Librarians star certainly looks like the no-nonsense Starfleet officer.
