First debuting in January 2017, the Archie Comics adaptation Riverdale has received critical acclaim and brought in a new generation of Archie fans with its dark, sinister portrayal of Archie and company. Since then, fans have paired Apa’s Archie Andrews with Cott’s Kevin Keller as one of the show’s unofficial fan-favorite couples between the two friends and classmates.
Kevin Keller, the first openly gay character in Archie Comics history, is a recent and welcome addition to the Archie franchise. First debuting in 2010’s Veronica #202 by writer/artist Dan Parent, Keller was an instant hit with readers, with his debut appearance selling out, leading Archie to order its first ever reprint, in addition to ordering a solo title for the character.
Cott has portrayed Keller since Riverdale‘s premiere, originally as a recurring character before being added to the main cast in the recently concluded second season.
