Stephen Amell ‘Ships’ Green Arrow and Flash in New Set Photo

Arrowverse fans aren’t the only ones who might imagine a relationship between Oliver Queen and Barry Allen. Arrow star Stephen Amell envisions it too — on this one occasion, at least.

Grant Gustin debuted as Barry in the second season of Arrow, before going on to star his own series, The Flash. His Scarlet Speedster has remained friends and allies with Green Arrow ever since, but there’s no denying some fans who wish they were more than that. Amell had a little fun with those viewers when he tweeted a heartwarming photo of himself embracing a costumed Gustin on the set of this year’s Arrowverse crossover, “Elseworlds,” and wrote, “I ship it.”

Even if it’s a bit more jokey than what some fans were probably hoping for, it’s nevertheless a nice moment, for viewers and for the actors.
