Stephen Amell Teases Arrow’s Epic Season 7 Premiere Action Scene

Back when it was still in its infancy, the CW’s Arrow really made a name for itself thanks to its thrilling action scenes. Over the years, the superhero series featured many memorable battles, while others would, from time to time, fail to live up to the epic standards of Arrow.

Now, if the series’ lead actor is to be believed, fans are in for a memorable fight sequence in the upcoming Season 7 opener of the DC series. On his Twitter, Amell pointed out that, in the history of his show, he has felt incredibly proud of three distinct fight scenes, the most recent of which is the one he only recently wrapped shooting.

I've been singularly proud of 3 action sequences in Arrow. In order of appearance:

1. GA's taking on Adam Hunt's men in the pilot.
2. Fighting R'as al Ghul on a freaking mountain.
3. 701.

Amell likens the sequence to the two others he is particularly proud of, which are the fight between the Arrow and Adam Hunt’s henchmen in the pilot episode of the series, and the fateful duel between Oliver Queen and Ra’s al Ghul on top of a snowy mountain.

Both action scenes became classics in their own right in the series’ 6 year history, and the fact that Amell compares the next fight scene to these two is quite promising. It appears as if fans may get to see a thrilling fight sequence the likes of which they haven’t seen since Season 3.

Returning this fall to The CW, Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Echo Kellum as Mr. Terrific, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary and Katie Cassidy as Black Siren.
