A reboot of Charmed was first greenlit by The CW in January with a full series order confirmed by the network the following May. Like the previous series, the television show follows three sisters that discover they are actually witches that use their newfound magical powers to combat the forces of evil with the reboot taking place in the fictional college town of Hillstowne.
The original Charmed ran on The CW’s predecessor, The WB, from 1998 to 2006 with millions of fans around the world. A reboot had been in development since 2013 with The CW moving forward with the pilot order after CBS passed on the project.
