This Is Us: What That Intense Promo Could Mean For the Season 3 Finale
We can't believe it, but This Is Us season three is finally coming to an end. After leaving the state of Randall and Beth's marriage up in the air on Tuesday night, NBC gave a glimpse of what's to come in the dramatic season three finale, titled "Her." Though the promo video is only 30 seconds long, it is filled with intense moments including a confrontation between Kevin and Zoe, trouble for baby Jack and Kate in the hospital, and Rebecca getting into a car crash! Let's break down every moment piece by piece as we try to figure out what it might mean.

After Randall and Beth's intense fight, Randall comes back to their house and asks his wife if she thinks they can "make their way through this." While it doesn't seem promising that Beth ends up walking away from him, we can't help but hold out hope that these two will overcome this obstacle in their marriage. The fact that Randall even comes back to talk things out has to count for something, right? Maybe he isn't out of moving speeches after all.
While Kevin initially tells Zoe that he's OK with her not wanting children, it seems like he might be having second thoughts as he says in the clip, "People think they know what they want, but things change." Could his desire to start a family signal the end of Zoe and Kevin's relationship?
Following his fight with Beth, it seems like Randall might decide to put his career on hold and focus on his marriage. As Randall sits in the car, he asks someone on the phone what would happen if he decides to resign from his position as a city councilman. Maybe Randall is taking his conversation with Beth to heart and learning to "bend" for his wife for a change.
Something appears to be wrong with baby Jack as the monitors go off in the hospital. While the clip certainly has us thinking the worst, it's possible the nurses will find out the baby has a birth defect of some sort. Perhaps a heart defect like Jack?
While Kate deals with baby Jack in the hospital, a flashback shows Jack showing up at the hospital with Randall and Kevin. Perhaps they're going to make some sort of connection between the two scenes?
Yep, we're definitely going back to the future in the finale! After Randall's phone call with Toby earlier this season, it seems like he's taken his advice and shown up to visit "her." But why is he alone? Are Kate and Toby divorced in the flash-forward, or is Kate no longer alive?
This is definitely the most confusing part about the promo: Rebecca gets into a car crash. Maybe that's why Jack shows up at the hospital! Since it's a flashback, we know she will be OK in the end, but it could have repercussions later on. Perhaps her car crash causes some sort of injury that will appear later in life. Remember how Rebecca tells Tess that she has chronic pain all the time? That could also be the reason everyone is going to visit her in the flash-forward.
