Titans Star Sent the Show’s Crew a Punny Wrap Gift from Dick Grayson
To commemorate the end of production of a film or a television season, crew members are customarily presented with gifts by the producers or stars, ranging from custom T-shirts and hats to alcohol and Xboxes. It was little different for the Toronto crew of DC Universe’s Titans, who were given a clever memento by star Brenton Thwaites.
The 28-year-old actor, who plays Robin, sent a poem he’d written about the times, and hard work, shared on the set of the upcoming live-action series. It’s a nice sentiment, printed on a card emblazoned with the show’s logo. But there’s a little more, as it comes with a guitar pick featuring the classic New Teen Titans comic book logo, and the words “Toronto 2018.”

So, yes, Thwaites, who portrays Dick Grayson, sent the crew a … Dick pick. Get it? In case the crew doesn’t, the actor spelled it out in the card, writing, “A ‘Dick Pick’ From Me to You!”
Helping to launch Warner Bros.’ new DC-branded streaming service later this year, Titans follows Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, aka Raven (Teagan Croft), as they become embroiled in a conspiracy that threatens to bring Hell on Earth. They’re joined in their fight by Starfire (Anna Diop) and Beast Boy (Ryan Potter).

The team’s lineup is largely inspired by DC’s The New Teen Titans, launched in 1980 by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, in which a manipulative Raven gathers young heroes — including Robin, Starfire and Beast Boy — to fight the threat posed to Earth by her father, the demon Trigon.
The first season, which has already spawned a planned Doom Patrol spinoff, also stars Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dove and Lindsey Gort as Amy Rohrbach.
