FX’s Legion Returns for Season 3 in 2019
FX has announced that the mind-bending television series Legion will return for it’s previously announced third season in 2019.
FX released a teaser image for the third season on social media before their panel at the Comic-Con International in San Diego. It doesn’t give any hints towards the direction the series will take in the next season, but it does confirm that the show will be definitely coming back in 2019.

Developed by Noah Hawley (Fargo), the series has become one of the most visually engaging shows on television. The series follows David, an extremely powerful mutant whose telepathic abilities were misinterpreted as madness. After being broken out of a mental hospital, he joins a team of fellow mutants on the run from the government, but when he finds out about the nefarious Shadow King that’s been targeting him his whole life, he prepares to go to war with the psychic virus.
Eric Schrier, co-president of original programming for FX Networks and FX production, released a statement about the show, saying “Legion has redefined the superhero drama and exceeded all expectations as the intensity and revelation build through the second season. We are incredibly proud of Noah Hawley’s achievement and are honored to continue the series as it pushes the boundaries of conventional television storytelling.”
Created by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, Legion has been the center of plenty of trippy Marvel comics. He’s been a recurring presence since his introduction in the pages of Uncanny X-Men.
Legion is the schizophrenic son of Charles Xavier and former flame Gabrielle Heller. David is potentially one of the most powerful people in the Marvel universe. He has a wide range of abilities, but each one is empowered by a different personality.
